報告題目：基于化學(xué)合成的人工金屬蛋白質(zhì)的構(gòu)建及催化性質(zhì)研究

報告簡介：Total chemical protein synthesis represents a powerful tool that enables us to effect, at will, any desired change in the protein structure. More importantly, total chemical synthesis allows the labeling/manipulation of proteins without limitation as to the number and kind of labels introduced, and with atomic level precision that is essential for biophysical spectroscopic as well as biological function studies. In this talk, I will present our recent work on the total chemical synthesis of a 20 kDa heme protein, nitrophorin 4 (NP4), with chemical ligation techniques. I will also present some preliminary results on our recent effort to construct artificial metalloproteins using protein semisynthesis strategies.

報告人簡介: 何春茂，華南理工大學(xué)化學(xué)與化工學(xué)院教授。2011年博士畢業(yè)于德國馬普生物無機(jī)化學(xué)研究所；之后分別在德國馬普所、瑞士蘇黎世聯(lián)邦理工學(xué)院及日本名古屋大學(xué)從事博士后研究工作；2016年8月入選“杰出人才與團(tuán)隊引進(jìn)計劃”加入華南理工大學(xué)并開始組建獨立課題小組。課題組研究致力于發(fā)展高效的蛋白質(zhì)化學(xué)合成方法，并用于1）與人體生理病理相關(guān)的重要翻譯后修飾蛋白質(zhì)的精確制備及機(jī)理研究；2）人工金屬蛋白質(zhì)的構(gòu)建及功能研究等。目前主持了國家自然科學(xué)基金（青年/重大研究計劃）、廣州市科技計劃等多項科研項目。何春茂博士入選了廣東省“珠江人才計劃”引進(jìn)高層次人才等項目。
